A Personal Equity Plan (PEP) offered private investors a tax efficient way of investing in certain kinds of shares, securities and stock market plans. PEPs were replaced on 5th April 1999 by ISA’s. From 6th April, 2008, all existing PEPs will become ISA’s, and will be treated in exactly the same way.
