Inheritance Tax Help

Your estate is comprised of everything you own - unfortunately, almost all of it counts towards the taxman. To work it out approximately, add together the value of:

  • your home and its contents, plus any other properties
  • antiques, jewellery and any other valuables
  • your car
  • any savings and investments
  • your life insurance policies and pension fund lump sum(s) if not held in trust

Then deduct the value of any liabilities - like outstanding mortgages, overdrafts, loans and credit cards.
